AutoEMC Newsletter No.14: June 2006
The AutoEMC.net newsletter is a text only e-mail newsletter
with hyperlinks to stories or items of interest noted in brief within the
following text. If you have any items for inclusion or ideas on how to improve
this service please send them by return e-mail.
Please keep the information coming to the usual address; news@autoemc.net.
Note: we do not usually issue news bulletins during the summer months of July and August due to the slow down in general that all businesses experience during, what for most, is the holiday period. However, given the change in the EU Automotive EMC regulations due to come into force on 1st July 2006 we may issue a mid-summer bulletin if any new information comes our way.

Miscellaneous
European Automotive Technology Roadshow
We rarely run coverage of overtly commercial activities on the site, but this idea seems like a good opportunity for many of our supporting organisations to get close to their customers at a relatively low cost (compared to large exhibitions). European Automotive Design Magazine in association with Dream Marketing International Ltd are putting on a travelling roadshow to visit several automotive Tier 1 suppliers. At just under £10,000 it's definitely too rich for ourselves, but other readers companies may be looking for such a marketing opportunity.

EMC is not a New Phenomena
Just to prove the case, we have copied an item from the Daily Mail, 21 April 1926 edition that illustrates just how long both EMC and the use on antenna on-vehicles has been around. This has been included purely for a bit of fun but is indicative of in many respects how little has changed in the last 80 years.
