Grand Rapids, MI—  The Grand Rapids and Boston locations of Intertek ETL Entela have been accepted as Technical Service Suppliers (TSS) to the Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) for Lighting and EMC Testing.  VCA’s acceptance of these facilities allows ETL Entela to certify automotive components for sale in Europe .  

VCA is the UK approval authority for the type approval of motor vehicles and components, as well as a leading certification body.  The organization provides expert international test and certification services for vehicles and vehicle parts. VCA approval certificates are recognized throughout the European Community and the wider group of European countries belonging to the European Economic Area and the Geneva-based United Nations organization (ECE). VCA services are available to manufacturers worldwide. VCA evaluated ETL Entela’s test methods, procedures and systems as part of the acceptance process.  As a Technical Service Supplier, ETL Entela can provide all the necessary information for assessment, documentation, testing and reporting.  This enables the Approvals Authority to issue relevant Type Approval Certificates to the applicant through the Technical Service Supplier rather than it being directly involved.  This makes the whole process of obtaining an e mark on an automotive component more efficient and cost effective.
