Intertek Automotive Services Purchases Equipment for New Laboratory in China

 

-Lab Projected to Open Fall, 2005-

 

Shanghai , China Intertek Automotive Services announces the purchase of equipment for its new automotive testing lab in Shanghai , China .  The equipment includes environmental chambers, vibration equipment, an audio sound room and test equipment and data acquisition/controller software:

AGREE Chamber (to accompany vibration system)

Salt Spray Chamber

16 cubic ft. Heat-Only Chamber

Lo-capacity Tensile Machine (10 lb , 100 lb., and 1,000lb  load cells)

Sound Room and Vibration Machine to perform Buzz Squeak and Rattle (BSR)

The new lab will operate as part of Intertek ETL Entela and is located in the Pudong Region, Jin Qiao Development Zone of Shanghai, with approximately 4000 sq/m (40,000 square feet) of available space. Additionally, in early 2006, two EMC/EMI chambers and associated testing equipment will be installed at the facility.

American OEM’s and suppliers, supply chain development/supplier audits and public & on-site training (EMC, PPAP, DFMEA, DVP&R, APQP, AST, ISO/TS 16949).
